Everything would be looking a lot better in Cleveland these days if they hadn’t given up on Baker Mayfield
That created a domino effect
Browns can’t help it.
What was it - ‘93 they signed Vinny Testeverde then followed it up with the Andre Rison FA mistake.
They see something that looks slightly better than what they have and they jump at it dumping their existing guy.
They had Kosar and dumped the face of the franchise for Vinny. They had a young Michael Jackson and Kennan McCardell in 1994 and gave up on McCardell for Riso
Their handling of QBs is legendarily bad - they just keep thinking about what others have and not focusing on what they have. It’s a tough place to play in winter and not many guys want to play in a cold weather/windy environment and for a losing team. When you have a guy like Baker - you have to realize he will never be top 5 stats - but he wins.
