Wished I remembered the name of the slot but I twice hit free spins multiplers and eventually won around $20. Probably 3-4x around $2 range and all of rest $1 or below.

That might be true but never really paid attention to penalties. What I have noticed though is strange scoring occurs in the 3rd. Ties 2-2 in early 3rd, then a dry spill until someone breaks it at halfway point. 2 mins left and get empty netter and then another empty netter for 5-2 win.

Teams pull their goalie much sooner in recent years. This is one sport you need to watch till the end.
