i have maximized my space. I don't have a ton more space. Also in my basement is a 1/2 bathroom and washer/dryer. So maybe i could get a foosball like table or air hockey.

I tried to get a full size ping pong table down there. It wouldn't fit through doors or through belco doors. So that's in the garage

I bought the kids a little bit smaller fold up table last year. Folds up nice like a metal briefcase. It is not a video game so it doesn't get used.

Played poker habitually out in my garage back in the day. Actually before hold-em became so big.
Mostly high low games to build the pot. 2-3 limit 3raise limit. Mostly seven card high-low either declare or 8 or less. Omaha hi-low and 62 roll-em.
IMO card rooms have shoved hold-em down our throats you can seat ten to a table the hands go fast and the rake is lucrative.

my dad and his friends have had the weekly game for 45 years...sadly it just stopped due to one guy moving away and another guy not being able to drive at night....don't get old is what i'm told

those games are the wild games. high/low games. We played 5 card buy a card 2x. We play 7 card bullshit with a helper. High points/low points use them all. 13/33. traditional 5 card. wild games, wild cards, split pots all that

we also play hold em 1x a month, monthly game been going on since i was in high school. We maxed at 20 players or so, then we went through a stretch with like 7-9 players. Now we are back to around 9-13 pending the month.

My house I just started with hold em and ill see if we mix in the odd games or not

Sounds like a good ole boy’s game which is fun.
If someone mentions poker l ask do you use a joker and if so how does it play. If they say it’s wild l have no interest but that’s just me.

When you have all those wild cards imo all the poker math is thrown out the window may as well play AC/Duecy lol but again that’s just me.

Suggestion for poker Sammy.
When we play here, if you win a pot, you do a shot. It helps even out the playing abilities over the night. If someone is on a heater, they will get "chilled" with a few shots of liquor.

Jokers are used for aces straits and flushes. Very integral card especially playing high low it would be very integral in getting a steel wheel. LOL
