The Red Sox have been playing at 11am On Patriots Day in Boston for the last 50 years.
The significance of the early start is so then fans can go root on friends and family that are running in the Boston Marathon.

11:10 is/was the correct starting time. But they are delaying because of the rain. Game should start before 12 noon.
