Interesting...would that mean the Nats are overachieving or books are wrong about Nats?

Their W/L record is 18-26 overall. Based on runs scored and runs allowed, using Bill James' pythagorean, they should be 19-25. So as far as winning/losing, they are about on target. If they were winning a lot more than expected based on the RS/RA data, I would say they are overachieving but that does not seem to be the case.


Since the data abve is ATS, they just seem to be able to keep games closer than the public expects.

Also, its interesting to note, I don't think they've been a clear favorite (more than -110) in ANY games this year. Today they are -108 at home.
