1-2 -1.51 Sunday (no plays Monday)
10-8 +0.66 over 7 days

SD Padres RL -1.5 -105 vs Cincy
Same as usual here. Padres pitching, batting, relief pitching all better than the Reds. Pitching: Musgrove (SD) vs San Martin (CIN). Musgrove has been consistently good over his 3 starts. Sanmartin looked good vs the Dodgers in a start but not so much against the Padres and Atlanta. Yep Sanmartin is going up against the Pads for 2nd time in 4 outings. He stat line was 5.1 IP, 4 K, 1 BB, 8 H, 5 ER during that game. Reds lost 6-2. I can't see it improving with the SD batters having seen him just a week ago. During the Reds' 11 game losing streak (broken Sunday vs Cards) they lost by 2 or more runs in every game. Meanwhile the Padres have played a series against ARI, SF, ATL, CIN, & LAD. Out of those teams, the "worst" of those teams (aside from Cincy) is ARI. They won 3 out of 4 games against ARI, all by more than 2 runs. Musgrove pitched in one of those starts with a 5-2 win.

A few more later.

Seattle +113 vs TB
Tampa is going with bull-pen pitching today. Wisler (TB) hasn't started a game since 2020 (4 starts that year) and hasn't been a consistent starter since he came into the league in 2015 w/ Atlanta. He pitches well but hasn't pitched more than 1-2 innings in years. TB burned through 6 relief pitchers Saturday, 2 Sunday vs Red Sox, and was off Monday. There may not be much fatigue in the group with 3 days rest but, with any luck they will be likely cycling through them today.

Seattle has Gilbert pitching and he is doing well 0.52 ERA, going 5-6 innings in 1st 3 starts with 1 ER over those 3 games. That combined with Mariner bats being slightly better than the Rays right now and the +odds, pushes me to make this play.

Toronto -179 vs Boston
Boston has to feel a little beat up losing last night. They were down 0-2 thru 7, score 2 in the 8th to tie-it, and allow 4 by Toronto in the bottom half to lose 6-2. They are 2-6 over their last 8 and lost 2 out of 3 to this same team less T-Th last week at home.

Blue Jays have the edge on starting pitching and the bats. Relief pitching is more of a toss-up.
Gausman (TOR) has had 3 pretty good starts (2.89 ERA) going 8 innings in his last one. Pivetta (BOS) has not performed that well, allowing 4-5 ER with each start pitching 4, 2, & 5 innings over 3 games.

Toronto bats are much better than the Sox.
WRC+ 111 vs 81, OBS 0.731 vs 0.632, AVG 0.256 vs 0.228

This is a really expensive line but I think its worth it today.

Dodgers FF RL -0.5 - 135 vs D-Backs
Gonsolin (LAD) vs Davies (ARI)... 0.69 ERA vs 5.02 ERA over 3 starts respectively. Davies pitches well but can give up runs against strong batting teams. He gave up 4 ER in 4 innings vs NYM. The Dodgers are as strong as the Mets at the plate. D-backs bats are not very good (WRC+ 80, OPS 0.614, AVG 0.191).

LA Dodgers for the game is -195 and too expensive and I have the the high dollar Blue Jays play already going. Even the RL for the game felt steep -1.5 -133. So, I'm taking the FF RL play and like the odds I'm able to get.

Thats all the MLB plays for me today.

I like the Giants a lot but the lines were just too expensive all the way around.

Good luck on your plays today.

Seattle wins
SD wins by 3

Toronto crapped the bed in the 8th, giving up 4 in the 8th to fall behind 5-2. They had the starting pitching needed, but not the bats tonight. As expected, with the toss up on relief pitching between these two, it may cost the Blue Jays.

Dodgers still yet to play late.

TY George Springer for a 2nd chance in the Blue Jays game.
2 run homer with 2 outs in bottom of the 9th to tie the game at 5 and we go to the 10th.
