According to Flyer, you would have to leave every 6 months. You can only stay on a temporary working Visa if I’m not mistaken
Incorrect, you need to leave every 30 days. All nationalities only get a 30 day visa. You must leave the country every 30 days. You can leave and come back the same day. Please reread what I wrote. You can get an investor visa which will give you one year, or if you are married , you have to leave every 6 months, or if you have what I have ( residence card) you never have to leave, just renew.

i would imagine the main language is vietnamese, but I'm sure they are teaching english in their schools over there. plus the tourists, i think you could get by. but maybe @flyingillini can confirm that for you

vietnamese is a hard language to learn, but such a beautiful language
There are hundreds of thousands of foreigners living here. Younger people know English here. Older generation not as much. Southern Vietnam they speak English much more than where I am. All the foreigners I know living here , speak 0 Vietnamese and they get by fine. I just chose to learn it. Girls love a foreigner that can speak Vietnamese too.

Yeah that’s a good idea actually. I just don’t want to learn another language. Do they speak English over there in Vietnam at all ? If I can’t communicate with people in my surroundings, I would feel incomplete. That would be the biggest dealbreaker.
You can come here only knowing English and be fine, no issues. Anywhere in the world you can get by. I did it in China and I do it all over Asia , I only speak Vietnamese and I get by fine. This is 2023 , things are very different when traveling. English spoken all over and easy to get around, China is difficult but you still can do it.
