MGM Resorts is putting the Mirage resort and casino in Las Vegas up for sale, ending a 21-year ownership of one of the strip’s most famous properties.

Hopefully they'll sell it to a completely new operator instead of a private equity group who will pay MGM a fee to keep running the place. A true indy will introduce some needed competition to the strip.
