Making sport betting as a hobby

Hi,I want to join the sport betting activity because my folks divorced and they didn't give me anything to enjoy in life.My father always beated me and never cared about me and I can barrely live day after day.
I am very good at math,I even studied precalculus and calculus but I don't know how to start.Do you use football managers?How do you find out about teams,skills and stuff?
How much math do I need?
Is it a normal idea if I had suffered from depression and alcoholic problems?

try to bear closing line, look for arbs and plush middle opps. dont bet over your head.

only risk what you can live without and don't mind losing for entertainment value

get outside ant get done air in lungs, sun on face and earth on feet before during and after bets

you can know all the math in the world and a game with two sides of the spread is still a toss up. you might find value but the question is if that value results in a win.

Sounds like you’re just starting out on this adventure. Since you seem to have a desire to gamble and you realize it is only a hobby (that’s good), I would suggest you google how to model college football spreads or college basketball spreads or whatever sport you like to follow as a starting point. This will help you learn to apply the math you keep mentioning.

You have to realize it takes years to get just halfway decent at this hobby and even then fewer than 5% make money long term. Controlling your emotions and money management are important.

I suggest you only bet what you can afford to lose and learn from more experienced posters on forums like BMR.

Your journey will take time and you will have to suffer through a learning curve (losing a lot) but if it truly is a hobby and just for fun it can be enjoyable entertainment.

Anybody that gives this guy any advice read his words very very carefully. He’s bitter about his parents. They didn’t leave him anything so he thinks this is a way for him to get what is in his mind or her mind what is deserved to them?

This is a dangerous concept to even start with gambling for this individual.

I’m praying for them and strongly suggesting for this person that they should NOT-be gambling, hence being bitter inside mixing with throwing money out there is a recipe for disaster. .

As a simulator for football can I use a football manager video game?
I am really clueless how to start but I do know that You need to learn how each member of the team plays in the field,their stats.

I’ve never used a football simulator to determine game winners. I just develop models using teams stats and trend to make predictions.

If you don’t have at least a $25,000 bank roll, forget about arbs that’s for guys with big rolls

Betting as a hobby is not a good idea.

Betting is a business - at least from the perspective of the person who is accepting your bets - any “hobby” that involves you buying from a business works in one way only - the business will always be profitable and you will always lose your money.

Want to approach it as a business - get good, get funded and make connections - demonstrate you are a winner and let others take the risk using their money and your skills. Turn your hobby into a business and minimize your risk.

Times have changed the last 5 to 7 years. You have no chance because of sports books and how they profile players.

if your broke, enjoy sports betting but not great at it - why not set your goals on something more easily obtainable- like paid poster or tour:

Being a paid poster is easy - just create 100 post just like your original every day. Maybe a video or 2 highlighting your sad little life and some stories about becoming a landscaper or window washer. You will have to work on your grammar and English as it’s a little too good - try to misspell more words and be a little less unintelligible.

Touting is even easier - start by picking the biggest faves on the board every day - call them your 1000 star plays and pretend you have 50,000 on each match to win 2500. When it loses - no big deal as you never actually bet anything. After you lose 3 in a row - quietly disappear and create a new user name. Then begin posting opposite sides under the 2 user names - guaranteed one side wins every time and begin endlessly bragging after each win like your a real big winner. Once you achieve 4 or 5 wins in a row under either name - begin selling your picks.
