Each game is different. If they had played like they played against Michigan or Nebraska they would have lost to Oregon. They lost 2 games this season. They are not unbeatable because they beat Tennessee and Oregon after losing to Michigan. They are playing with house money now and not clutching pearls like they did against Michigan.

But if everyone plays their best (big if, I know), they are undoubtedly the best team

If they play like they did the past 2 games, then they will win the championship. And they’re a lot more likely to play like that than how they did against Nebraska and Michigan

I think it all comes down to Ryan Day's playcalling. He has decided to rachet up the aggressiveness and that has unleashed the Buckeye offense. It's going to come down to the Ohio State offense vs the vaunted Texas defense. If Texas can get stops then they can absolutely win this game but that's easier said than done against the Buckeyes when they're aggressive.

On that side of the ball Texas has their work cut out for them obviously but if they can slow down Ohio State I think they have a realistic shot to win the game. It won't be easy to score on Ohio State obviously but you put yourself in position to score by getting stops. You are right Ohio State does have a very good defense that fact hasn't been lost on me.

He actually might be right because Texas imo is better than Oregon. Sure Oregon was number 1 in the seeding but the eye test said Ohio State was better and the oddsmakers said as much making them the favorites in that game. I think Texas might be favored against Oregon too though but that's a moot point. In this game though I might make Ohio State a 3 point favorite but the number is inflated because of how much they destroyed Oregon by. So JJ may actually be right for once that taking the points is the right move here.
