Back in my heyday in the late 80s early 90s when food stamps were printed on paper coupons and you didn't need to show an ID to use them. I use to buy them from the local baseheads for 60-70 cents on the dollar religiously, it was a great racket. Now what I like to do is find people that have credit available on their credit cards but are cash poor. I buy a lot of high end prewar baseball cards , but there is a huge trust issue and I have my checks and balances to make sure it works. For example, if I am going to buy something for 8-9k, I have them buy it and give them 7k etc etc. I have been doing this for years and have saved thousands over the years. There are a lot of people that have credit available on their cards but are cash poor. If you have this kind of scenario available to you. I highly advise it. I recently refurnished my apartment and I had a lady buy everything on her credit card here and gave her 80% in cash.
