Kentucky Derby Week Thread 2023

Kentucky Derby week kicks off today with some Tuesday racing at Churchill. Most get excited about the big race on Saturday but I prefer the days prior, as well as the Derby day undercard. Usually a lot of opportunities to get some locals at big prices.
All the big names ship in, so we will see a lot of NY and California form get way over bet. It is sometimes profitable focusing on locals such as Greg Foley, Vickie Oliver, Jordan Blair etc. They will fly under the radar at big prices.
Will have some plays a bit later…:

One of the biggest horse bets I ever hit I made Oaks Day 2015. Paul LoDuca loved Lovely Maria in the Oaks. I played a $200 Oaks-Derby Double with Pharoah. Paid $5600

I made a lot tailing LoDuca for a couple of years on the big race cards when he was with TVG back then. Good capper

That’s a nice score. I liked LoDuca a lot more than Serling.

When I need one, I download off equibase. Rarely need though. Do most of my research before meets start, then bet my when certain situations appear.
