2. $50 to Win on Citizen Bull at +1500 fixed odds; and

3. $50 Exacta Box on those two horses.

When it comes to the Derby, I’m always on the lookout for Hall of Fame trainers at big odds. Extra bonus if they haven’t had a Derby winner yet. Steve Assmussen fits the bill. He has two entered in today’s Derby. This is how I played it:

$2 exbx 13-14
.50c tri 13,14/ALL/13,14

Risked $41

If the Ass-Man sweeps the exacta, or bookends the tri, it should pay big balloons. Good luck everybody!

Nice to finally hit on the Kentucky derby. I deposited small on Fanduel racing today to take advantage of their no sweat win bet and put it on Sovereignty. Hit an exacta box and $1 exacta for good measure too. I'll take it because so often in the Kentucky derby the favorite or even the second choice don't win.
