LOL that's a totally wasted Tommy Kramer

He lives in my town

I troll him EVERYWHERE we bump into each other....dude loves it!
1st thing I think about Tommy Kramer is 1987 win at San Fran. Wade Wilson was starter, but Tommy was standing on sidelines. Also, a YOUNG Rich Gannon was on the roster.

Vikings upset Niners, which really threw the bracket off. Next week, Nelson drops the TD that would have tied it. Redskins win championship, I still think about Darrell Green's punt return in Chicago with the torn rib cartilage.

Dude that 1986 Vikings team would have won SB had they gotten in playoffs.

Dead serious. Look at vikes 86-90

In '86 Vikes had the lead vs Giants. Simms battled thru some heavy hits, made key passes to set up the game-winner.

Giants lost opening day at Dallas, at Seattle, and then not again. Giants were going to be tough to beat in '86.

My biggest memory from '86 is Charles Martin's egregious bodyslam of Jim McMahon in Chicago. Has to be the most unsportsmanlike play I've seen, possibly in tie with the Bertuzzi hit in NHL. Martin was an idiot (RIP), changed landscape of the NFC.

Literally the NFL has 4 cut offs

End of:

86
94
98
06
And 3 of them involves controversial Vikings decisions/ coaching

I think the 1994 Niners rank as one of the best single-season teams in Super Bowl era. Obviously, they loaded up on Free Agents.

Just so good. Pro football is a hard sport, but Steve Young made it look ez that year. Annihilated the Bears, got by Dallas, and then put on a clinic vs Chargers.

Trivia Q: What member of the 1994 Niners won TWO usfl titles and then went on to win THREE NFL titles?

Ya, but I'm not sure they even played anyone in that game, the finale.

I know some Tout services had Vikings +7 as POY in that game. And why not if the Niners didn't care? A time b4 everyone was locked into playoff implications.

nbw, it's NOT Steve Young. Yes, he played two years in the USFL. But his stats weren't very good, team wasn't that good.

Answer is...Bart Oates, the great center.

Won two USFL titles with the Stars. Then went to the Giants, won in 1986 and 1990. Was part of the Niner talent injection in 1994, won title in 1994 vs Chargers.
