I see Joey has outperformed Mahomes in their 3 matchups good to know for my bet.

Setting up for a wild AFC Championship game. What is your trust level with Patrick Mahomes and that balky ankle? Worried? Or is this a steal for KC being the Dog now?
I think this is a wild overreaction to last weeks's game and Mahomes questionable status. As someone who's had a high ankle sprain I know that injury is painful and takes weeks to recover from. He will play because he's a tough dude and a football player who will stop at nothing to be out there for his team but I don't trust him to play at the level we're accustomed to seeing him play at. That plus the fact that Cincinnati looked like world beaters with a healthy Joe Burrow leading the way has me leaning Cincinnati ML but I haven't bet it as of yet.

Good take on this game, we both share the same hypothetical result if you do in-fact pick the Bengals. Always better to go with your initial gut decision I say.

Spot on about the high ankle sprain. Here is what I found online about it.

I know it depends upon the severity but, there is no way Mahomes will be functioning well Sunday. It takes 4-6 weeks to recover so with only 1 week since the injury, so no way he's mobile.

They will tape/shoot him up because he is a baller but, his performance is likely diminished.
Watch, Mahomes will now have a record day.... :duh:

When can athletes return to sports following a high ankle sprain?

Despite the fact that most athletes who experience a low ankle sprain can return to sports within one to three weeks following the injury, those players who sustain a high ankle sprain are often out of sports for four to six weeks depending upon the injury severity. Sports that involve cutting and pivoting, such as football, are especially difficult to play in the setting of a high ankle sprain.
