The more she continues to fight this, they worse she looks. They won't throw the case out for the jury error but if somehow they did throw it out, her career is still on ice for years and years due to the bad publicity she keep generating.

I don't think she turned anything down did she?

In many interviews Depp and/or his attorneys have more or less said it wasn't about the money and almost basically admitted that they will not make her pay it

But I think she started running her mouth and continues to do so for whatever reason that is maybe just being so dingy and might have to screwed that up for herself

Johnny Depp appeared to call his ex-wife Amber Heard "a dog" in a song on his new album with Jeff Beck.
The Sunday Times published some of the lyrics in a review of the album, "18," set to be released on Friday.
Depp is credited as the writer of two songs on the album. According to The Sunday Times, both appear to reference Depp and Heard's seven-week defamation trial.
Jurors granted Depp more than $10 million in damages. They also granted Heard $2 million for her counterclaim that Depp defamed her.
One song, "Sad Motherfuckin' Parade," appears to allude to Heard without naming her. According to the Sunday Times critic Jonathan Dean, Depp sings: "You're sitting there like a dog with a seven-year itch. And I think you've said enough for one motherfucking night."
A seven-year itch refers to the phenomenon of a partner wanting to leave a relationship after seven years. Depp and Heard divorced after 15 months.
In another line, Depp sings, "If I had a dime, it wouldn't reach your hand." The sentiment seems to align with a suggestion from Depp's lawyers that the legal battle was not about money and that Depp may ultimately waive the damages.
In text messages read during the trial, Depp described Heard as "gold-digging" after she filed for divorce in 2016 and got a restraining order against the "Pirates of the Caribbean" actor.

During the trial, Depp told the court that he was "not proud of any of the language" he'd used about Heard, which included many expletives and derogatory terms.
Depp's other song, "This is a Song for Miss Hedy Lamarr," which he performed in May while touring in the UK with Beck, seems to refer to his fall from grace after Heard's accusations of domestic violence.
"Erased by the same world that made her a star," he sings. "Spun out of beauty, trapped by its web."
In the chorus, he adds, "I don't believe in humans anymore."
Beck has said the album was titled "18" because he and Depp felt that age again when they began playing together. Beck is 78, and Depp is 59.
Depp added: "It's an extraordinary honor to play and write music with Jeff, one of the true greats and someone I am now privileged enough to call my brother."

Amber's insurance company has reportedly refused to pay the legal damages the Aquaman actor owes to her ex-husband Pirates of the Carribean star Johnny Depp with regard to the high-profile defamation trial. The insurance company has stated that Johnny was 'willfully' and 'maliciously' defamed by Amber. Amber was ordered by a US Court to pay $10 million in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages in a June 1 verdict. Johnny, on the other hand was directed to pay $2 million overall to Amber.

Insurance Company Sues Amber​

New York Marine and General Insurance Company filed the suit against Amber on Friday in the US District Court for the Central District of California, according to a report by the portal Law and Crime. Amber had a $1 million liability policy with the company, with which she could have paid a portion of the damages she owes Johnny, the report claims. The insurance company, however, could refuse the payout, if Amber was found to have committed 'willful' and 'malicious' misconduct. Amber's insurance coverage was from July 2018 to July 2019. During that time period, Amber wrote an op-ed in The Washington Post, in which she said she was 'a public figure representing domestic abuse'.

Insurance Company Accuses Amber of Malice​

New York Marine and General Insurance Company, in the case filed against Amber stated that California insurance law provides that although an insurance company may be liable for an insured party's negligence, 'an insurer is not liable for a loss caused by the willful act of the insured'. The insurance company opined that Amber was found to have acted with actual malice, in other words, willfully. Hence, it should not have to compensate her.

Insurance Company Refuses to Pay For Legal Damages​

Amber is being sued by the insurance company so that it can be absolved of any duty to pay for her defense in the recent defamation case against ex-husband Johnny according to recent media reports. Amber is also being sued by the US based insurance company so that it does not have to pay any costs of ongoing litigation, if the actor makes any further appeals in court or be required to pay the damages. The court had ordered Amber to pay Johnny after the trial's verdict was declared.

Johnny Depp's legal team argued that Amber Heard's request for a mistrial should be denied altogether.
On Friday, Heard's team made a filing in Circuit Court of Fairfax County claiming that the actress, 36, is entitled to a mistrial "based on newly discovered facts and information" that one of the jurors present for the entire trial was not the one actually summoned for jury duty.
The documents claim the person summoned was 77 years old at the time, but a 52-year-old with the same last name and address instead showed up and was seated. Her side said it is "deeply troubling for an individual not summoned for jury duty nonetheless to appear for jury duty and serve on a jury," especially given the "high-profile" nature of the trial "where the fact and date of the jury trial were highly publicized prior to and after the issuance of the juror summonses."

Heard's lawyers said she was not given the proper "due process," so she requested a mistrial "and a new trial ordered." That request came a week after Heard's counsel asked for the verdict to be thrown out altogether because the verdict was not supported by sufficient evidence, in their eyes. Her team argued that Depp "proceeded solely on a defamation by implication theory, abandoning any claims that Ms. Heard's statements were actually false."

On Monday, Depp's legal team fired back with their own filing, insisting the verdict remain and reiterating their evidence.
Last month, the six-week Virginia trial ended with the jury siding mostly with Depp, awarding the 59-year-old actor over $10 million in damages after finding Heard defamed him in a 2018 op-ed, though she didn't mention him by name in the article. She was awarded $2 million in damages, winning one of her three defamation countersuit claims.

"Though understandably displeased with the outcome of trial, Ms. Heard has identified no legitimate basis to set aside in any respect the jury's decision," reads the documents, obtained by Variety. "... Here, the verdict was well supported by the overwhelming evidence, consistent with the law, and should not be set aside. Mr. Depp respectfully submits that the Court should deny Ms. Heard's Post-Trial Motions, which verge into the frivolous."
"The court should reject Ms. Heard's baseless contention that the damages award was excessive and supported by evidence," they added.

About the alleged juror mix-up, Depp's team said, Heard's "desperate, after-the-fact demand for an investigation of Juror 15 based on a purported error in his birth date" is "misplaced." They argued that she has "failed to identify any way" that the juror mix-up would have "somehow robbed her of" due process, and clarified that the juror was vetted "just as all of the other jurors were."
Depp's team said Heard had "ample time" to verify the juror's information and raise any concerns prior to the trial, rather than bringing it up after the verdict.
They add, "In a rare moment of candor, Ms. Heard admits that she was aware of this purported discrepancy in Juror 15's birth year from the very start of trial because 'Juror 15 ... was clearly born later than 1945.' ... Ms. Heard chose not to raise this alleged 'discrepancy' with the Court during the voir dire process or at any time during the six-week trial and thereby waived it."

After the verdict was revealed June 1, Depp said in a statement that he felt like the seven-person jury, made up of five men and two women, "gave me my life back." Heard, meanwhile, called the verdict a "setback" for women and said, "I'm heartbroken that the mountain of evidence still was not enough to stand up to the disproportionate power, influence and sway of my ex-husband."
In the weeks since the verdict, Depp has been touring overseas performing with Jeff Beck, with whom he is releasing an album this Friday. Heard did a sit-down interview with NBC News' Savannah Guthrie, where she said she stands by every word of her testimony and that she still has "no ill will" toward Depp.

Amber Heard Just Got Served Even More Bad Legal News​

Amber Heard's legal battles continue as the actor has just been hit with another obstacle in her judicial conquest. In June, a Virginia jury determined that the "Aquaman" star had defamed her ex-husband, Johnny Depp, with claims that he abused her during their marriage. As a result, Heard was ordered to pay Depp $15 million — $5 million in punitive damages and $10 million in compensatory damages. And while Heard was also awarded $2 million as a result of the tumultuous trial, she vowed to challenge the verdict.

Nearly a month after the case ended, Heard's legal team submitted documents to the court seeking a mistrial. According to records obtained by NBC News, Heard's attorneys claim that one specific juror "was not the individual summoned for jury duty on April 11, 2022."

"As the Court no doubt agrees, it is deeply troubling for an individual not summoned for jury duty nonetheless to appear for jury duty and serve on a jury, especially in a case such as this," Heard's team exclaimed. However, a judge has now responded to Heard's request, marking more bad news for the actor.
"The juror was vetted, sat for the entire jury, deliberated, and reached a verdict," Azcarate exclaimed in a written order (via Yahoo!). "The only evidence before this Court is that this juror and all jurors followed their oaths, the Court's instructions, and orders. This Court is bound by the competent decision of the jury." Azcarate also issued another order which will unseal documents from the infamous case, writing, "Court records are public information."

In response to the news, fans seem to have a split opinion on the judge's decisions. "She would've lost anyway," one person tweeted. While another wrote, "I STILL stand with Amber Heard. The motion being denied is a setback, but it's not the end. She can still appeal." Heard's legal team has yet to announce whether they plan to formally appeal the verdict. Meanwhile, Depp making headlines of his own, as the actor is reportedly planning to slam his ex-wife on his upcoming studio album, per ET.
