I had just gotten off a double shift at international harvester in chicago. turned the radio on as I drove down cermak through Cicero, they were reporting on the cubs 20-6 win vs Brooklyn when they cut in with the Japanese surrender news

I was pissed because i never got to hear who all homered for the cubs

yes. Uncle Ho , is out hero. He got rid of the Japanese.

In 1945, Japan's surrender in World War II led to the end of their occupation of Vietnam, and they were essentially "kicked out" as their military forces withdrew. This triggered the August Revolution, where Vietnamese nationalists, led by Ho Chi Minh, seized power and declared Vietnam's independence

And the reason they surrendered??

Not what most people think...

Russia declaring war on them was the thing. Not either A bomb
I think you need a history lesson. Any country that has either tried to "occupy" or come to Viet Nam to start a war has got dealt with, in an aggressive manor. Why don't you ask the French, America and Japan and China how that worked out for them? Keep in mind after your country men were embarrassed and defeated in the American war, the whole world knew about the genocide that was happening in Campuchia, no country wanted to deal with it or get involved. The Americans were ashamed and embarrassed and didn't want to intervene with Campuchia. However, what happened with Poi Pot and the Khmer Rouge was just as bad if not worse than the Holocaust. The Vietnamese army went into Campuchia and in two weeks, yes in two weeks, they overthrew the government and stopped the genocide that was happening and stopped Poi Pot. Stay to what you are a master at Landers, picking winners in sports, don't embarrass yourself here. Stay on the sidewalk here, focus on your sports betting which you are a God-like figure at .
