i feel like the judging in all combat sports is horrendous. happens in the ufc all the time where judges will rob fighters.
i wasn't able to watch the fight. how did paul look? was it a total domination of fury? or was it an entertaining, more evenly matched fight
like JDS said, Fury out landed and out punched jake paul 2-1. Lots of hugging and the referee was not the right ref for this match. He took 1 point from each fighter for illegal shots to back of head. But based on how the guys were moving, that was bound to happen.
Ref acted like he was reffing a real title fight with experienced fighters. You could tell there was lack of experience. Jake always puts his head down when throwing, tons of opportunities for counter striking. Fury was fighting for the most part on his back foot, if he was moving forward, he could have been way more aggressive.
Jake had decent shots, even his knockdown in round 8 was off a Jab, but he back hand over the fist is so predictable it's easy to avoid.
Jake is an expert at marketing, but overall, this will hurt him. He can't fight real boxers and this proved it
