Some of Trumps advisors/secretaries are saying over 50 countries have reached out to negotiate. That is not likely occurring. Why do we know? Because those countries would announce they are wanting to negotiate in the press to head off the financial impact to their country. There is zero reason why a country that wants to negotiate with the US would keep that fact a secret.

I think the advisors are just saying this to try and offset the bad press and make it look like they are winning. They should show the list to prove its happening. Are the Norfolk Islands wanting to negotiate? They have a tariff on them and ZERO people live there. I guess a penguin is calling Trump to talk.

Would love to see an article showing that and not one that is just quoting a Trump advisor. I know its hard to believe but they lie (e.g. Americans don't pay for tariffs ).

Also, I'm very sure China is telling the US to go f#k itself right now. They don't need us. They will get their soybeans, corn, wheat from Brazil just like in 2019 when Trump implemented tariffs. Farmers were still suffering from that fiasco because they lost market share in China permanently to Brazil. This go around will only make it worse.

Trump should send out a list of countries ready to negotiate.

It would alleviate the uncertainty in the market. Right now, the market is saying its certain these tariffs will screw the economy. Offsetting that quickly would help.

I realize the stock market is not the economy but people view it as a measure. When it tanks, this stuff can become self-fulfilling. People get worried --> Stop buying --> business lose profits --> stocks fall --> people get more worried etc....
