Is the SEC going to leave the NCAA?

I’ve been seeing reports again that the SEC will leave the ncaa and form their own league by the year 2028.

They had a stranglehold on college sports for years with their rigid rules that penalized some and not others that were doing the same things

Their time has come and gone

Been saying this for years. Big 10/ SEC form their own super league and get all the money.

NCAA is finished and will be left representing the 'other' schools/ conferences that basically just feed SEC/ BIG10 via NIL

Nobody wants to watch NC ST, Boise or Cincinnati in the playoffs.

If we just got rid of women's sports it'd be ok, instead these stupid schools are starting to inact policies of paying the girls out of the men's profits lol

If Big10/SEC leave or more likely, half big 10(the powerhouses) leave and merge with independent SEC and drop all women's sports and declare as for profit, they avoid title 9 and could get a multi billion dollar deal. Add Notre Dame in there too...

Its already happened. During Covid the SEC played only conference games. That worked out well. They also won the national championship. I would watch SEC and B1G games only for a few seasons. I don’t think I watched an ACC game last year and only a few Big 12 games. I won’t notice a difference if the SEC/B1G games were only available.

NCAA is old boys money club that does fuk all for the betterment of the students and all about the $$$$$. Time for NCAA to take a powder.

Do we really need these Quinnipiac vs Alabama with Bama as a -48 favorite and Bama handing Quinnipiac 3 million to take a pounding. Power 5 make their own league.

I do see the major sponsorships being like the soccer where you barely know the team names but you see their main sponsor blazoned on their jerseys. Be ginormous funding/adversrtising opportunities for the teams , leagues, sponsors....etc
