Well I believe he's alluding to the possibility of making the athlete desperate enough to fix one of his own games to chase losses.

He's got a point...I am not sure the NCAA has the power to enforce a rule. Congress will have to act since they fund the Universities, put some designation on the illegal act of gambling by student athletes

with this thinking then you should not even let NCAA athletes go into a casino . i am not knocking your idea but you can't control all they do. there is personal responsibility.

plus pro players can just as easily be corrupted to chase losses. people that are desperate do desperate things regardless of age.
