Just crazy to hear this news. I'll always remember getting to watch Hulk wrestle in person when I was five years old. Back then he was larger than life for a five year old and I was lucky to get to watch him work.
Hogan turning heel was one of the greatest moments in wrestling history.
Think about it - he was THE babyface - THE ultimate hero and crowd favorite. For a generation of kids he was the face of wrestling and involved in almost every main event. But wrestling was struggling - that generation was aging out and WWF was struggling and WCW was making a legit run at the number 1 spot with big backing from Turner.
Hogan joining and turning heel changed the game - suddenly there was interest in wrestling entertainment again/
RIP Hulkster - you defined wrestling for millions.
