Tyrese Haliburton has undeniably become one of the league’s top playmakers. His elite court vision, efficiency, and leadership for the Pacers make him one of the most exciting young stars in the NBA. He led the league in assists per game for much of the season and showed he can take over games with both scoring and facilitation.
But when you talk about “best player in the NBA”, you're entering a tier that still includes names like Nikola Jokić, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Luka Dončić, and a healthy Joel Embiid. Those guys dominate both ends of the court and consistently perform at MVP levels in the playoffs.
Haliburton is a future MVP candidate for sure — but he’s not at the very top yet. Give it a year or two, especially if he adds more defensive impact and deep playoff success to his résumé.
