This has got to piss off alumni of any school that opts out of a bowl.

I've been to dozens of my alma mater's bowl games and its a PARTY. Getting back together with former classmates and partying for 2-3 days. Its a huge loss for the school and alumni association that usually uses these pre-game parties to generate more fan interest for season tickets and donations.

Completely a cluster-f#k on these schools parts.

I'm glad Big12 is fining each school $500,000. I wish more conferences would do it.

Bowl games are JV games. The season officially ended for all of the non CFP teams. This is not out grandfathers bowl games anymore.

Don't the bowls pay the universities hundreds of thousands if not millions?

A ISU or KSU bowl invite might be worth $3 mil to the school. This is valuable playing time & money. Not to mention a bonus for Fandom to follow your school.

IE if the Gophers got Music City I'd go and do NYE in SMASHville

Just have reunions!!!

Should allow teams to practice if they want

Don’t need a bowl game
