America does not have anyone like Uncle Ho where everyone loves and idolizes the person. He is the most respected and loved person imaginable here. The only people that you will hear that don't like him are some of the Vietnamese that left during the war that are now in America. They wouldn't dare come back here spewing their rhetoric.Different cultures

To each their own, don't judge.
Interesting fact about Ho- He was denied entry at Paris peace talks following WW1. YES, WW1. Wilson didn't want to upset the French by suggesting they relinquish the colony to avoid the impending civil war. However, by the end of WW2 25 years later, the French currency they were using was so worthless they had no choice but to rebel.
Foreseeing this, all our WW2 military equipment from the Asian battles was shipped to Vietnam for Ho's use against prolonged French & Japanese occupation of the many Islands. In essence, although a diehard commie, he was a US collaborator until the 50s.

I hang out with some older Việt Cộng and some NVA, a lot live in my building with their children and they take care of their grandkids. I get together and drink with them sometimes. They are fascinated that I can speak with them. My best friends dad is VC and when I talk to them about the war, to this day, they really don't understand what happened and why America even came there. They had conflict in their own country and the next thing you know they said they were told they are not fighting the Americans too. They have no animosity with America and respect the America and love the American culture. Many older VC will wear American military shirts and hats here. There is no animosity whatsoever. America was afraid of the spread of communism, they came here where when they never should of and got their ass handed to them, that is the bottom line. Any country that comes here, gets put in their place, ask the French. Lets take a look at Campuchia. The whole world knew what was happening in Campuchia. Poi Pot killed millions of people, what happened in Campuchia is just as bad if not worse than what happened with Hitler. America just got done with the war, the world was igonoring what was happening with the Khmer Rouge and once it started to spill over on the border, the Vietnamese army stormed into Campuchia and overhrew the Khmer Rouge and within 2 weeks stopped the atrocity that was happening in Campuchia while the world looked on and nobody cared what was happening in Campuchia. There are 100s of movies on the Holocaust and it is stlll talked about today but only a few movies about the Killing FIels and Poi Poit. Only reason is one is a Western World Country and the other is South East Asian but what happened in Campuchia might be worse than the Holocaust.Minny I know both @flyingillini and I have watched the entire 10-part Ken Burns Vietnam War series multiple times
You ever watched it? Definitely worth a watch if you haven’t. Incredible documentary
I definitely came away from it thinking we were on the wrong side in that war, as many US soldiers did
Only our allegiance to the French, who bailed out early on, got us into a situation we never could get of thanks to Johnson and Nixon.
It seems like Kennedy, although he misled the US citizens about our involvement in Vietnam early on, was trying to pull our guys out of there before it escalated. If he lived, I doubt it would have ever become what it did with US involvement
Yeah much more to it than this but neither Johnson or especially Nixon wanted to be the first US pres to lose a warThere was a lot of money spent to prolong that war...EIK liked a balanced budget, warned us of the military complex. JFK wanted limited action...he was killed. LBJ was the epitome of a career buracrate and created a fucking disaster despite Macnamara's report.
Bybthe time Nixon rolls into his 2nd term, all his predeccors are dead and thus he can't share blame politicaly (that might be the only time there were no living Presidents) so he has to bomb to get Kissengers peace, which he does...but then 12 months later Dems force him out for basically a burglary committed by JFKs CIA guys. Wouldn't even charge em today.

The flag they are waving and their rhetoric is a pure disgrace and they would not last one day coming back here if they did that. Uncle Ho is more like Jesus Christ here, these people in this video are disgusting trash. Other than my father he is the only person that I could really consider a hero in my life. He was such a great man.
There are over 30 countries that have statues of Uncle Ho, they do it out of respect, he was such a great man and wanted nothing good things for his people.
