Eggs/fuel prices. I don't give a crap about.

What I do give a s#it about is:
  • Tarrifs causing prices to go up 25%+
  • Stock market dropping like a rock in a deep well.
  • Inflation jumping back up to 9%+
  • Interest rates increasing to offset inflation.
  • Stagflation as a result of a recesssion with inflation.
  • Recession causing high unemployment.
  • Future Social Security and Medicare benefits being cut in half (Elon proposed today).
  • The rich getting tax breaks while the middle class takes it in the a$$.
  • Oligarchs taking over control of our government.
I'm financially secure no matter WTF goes down but I worry about my kids and what they will go through.

And the funny thing is, I'm a republican but the current actions being taking that are causing these things are NOT very republican like. Have to admit, I'm starting to question my vote, like thousands and thousands of others.

Some bright notes.

Egg prices have started to turn down.

Inflation came in lower in February than January. 12 month inflation dropped from 3% to 2.8%. If we don't do the tarrifs we might be in good shape.

Yep just about everybody who truly voted for him & change understood ahead of time that it will take time to repair the mess made over the decades, and know it will be fine in the long run
I don't remember Trump ever saying there would be "pain" until after he was elected. Prior to the election he just stated, "On day one, prices will drop".

Not trying to be mean but, show me one clip of him commenting BEFORE the election that there will be a recession, higher inflation, or "pain". Don't post something that is vague or indirect. So me something that states we must go through an economic upheaval like a recession to succeed.

Just saying, "everyone understood change would happen", doesn't really capture the truth. The expectation of a recession was <10% prior to the tarrifs. Now its approaching 50/50. No one voted for that.

Hopefully, he will backoff on the tarrifs so we don't see an economic falloff.
If not, it's gonna get ugly.
