Maybe, first, we should check the eastern end of the Broken Ridge in the Southern Indian Ocean. It's a tough area, but the pilot did have a flight simulator route to nowhere, along with many other routes.

Maybe he simulated the flight over the Indian Ocean because he had agreed to meet the Aliens in a specific spot.

Then again, there is no way that would be on any video, lol.
