Le!!!! Remember the French & Dutch & Brits bought the Colonies & Manhattan & everything west. Treaty by treaty, the European Colonizers purchased the land.
Then we, the USA, bought, from France, the "mid section" (Louisiana Purchase).
Then we beat Mexico in a war, got everything to the Pacific & Florida, and Texas joined us voluntarily.
We also bought Alaska....
The natives are still sitting on tens of billions from the Ft Laramie treaty, in a bank, they refuse to take the payment.
