What do you guys do to beat the cold?

Sweater
Socks
Chimneys and fireplaces
Hot cocoa
Alcohol??

Miss having a hot tub - that was nice at the last place. Talked about doing one here - but haven’t and keep thinking wait in case we decide to move again.

The dogs miss having a fireplace - they were always parked in front of that thing.

How many times have you moved? But you own the property you live in now?

In 15 years of marriage - 6.

Yes - we have owned 5 of the 6 - it’s been a progression of step ups in houses last 10 years - real estate prices escalating and buying/renovating places.

I’ve said I’m done doing that - but of course you buy a place that’s been updated - it’s usually done as cheaply as possible and with the same generic touches seen on all the HGTV shows - subway tile, shiplap with an accent wall using an open concept. It’s boring - no one has original thoughts and seem afraid of using anything distinctive for fear of turning off a buyer.

But living in a house during renovations isn’t for me. Got lucky on one before this and had a corporate apartment for 6 months as part of my move. When we moved here it wasn’t too bad - but living without a kitchen for 2 months sucked.

Oh yeah, for me that's already a lot. It's tiring, but the good thing is you owned it.
