Yeah I know. I’m asking about if it does get banned. How does the ban work?

I have apps on my phone that are no longer in the app store and the apps work fine. So I’m wondering if it will be the same for TikTok?

Most likely when you go to open the app it will say something like "unavailable" but that's not gonna happen.

if the chink owners dont sell, there are ways around USING the app for US users. but it will no longer be a source of income/advertisement for US influencers. without making $ from US market the flip side is that US facing tik tok infrastructure would get reduced internally

Ha. No. None.

Think about the very structure you live in.

The government done came right into our homes and forced all these regulations on us, like how are electric outlets work, and even regulations on the structural integrity of the building.

They literally come into the home and tell us we have to be "safe" with our electric outlets, and how they are wired.

Damn intrusive gubment, telling me and my home builders what they can and can't do. This is my home!!!!!

Right?

Point being is that government is all up in our business already and even if we don't want more of it there are some areas we should allow.

We have to be a little flexible when it comes to gubment involvement in our lives, there is no choice.

But we don't have to lay down and give up all our rights.

I haven’t read the bill yet. But if I was a betting man, I would wager that it paves the way for our government to do the same thing to other Apps and websites that it doesn’t agree with.
Yep I have seen & heard that being suggested if they succeed with this one, that they will use it to their leverage to go after Elon Must & X/Twitter

But legal 'experts' say TikTok may end up winning per appeals and First Amendment.

But our current government doesn't seem to acknowledge our Laws in place any longer and do whatever they want

I've always thought wearing a seatbelt being Law is a good example

Seems like our own personal health should be our own choice and businesss

Let's stop protecting minors from porn (and other mildly questionnable pastimes). We should instead protect them from being lazy and relying on the government for anything.

You want a new football uniform Johnny? Go mown neighbors' lawns.

You want a phone Johnny? Go get a second job and walk some dogs.

Kids who 'get it' from an early age, can't be bothered with drugs, porn, and beer. They are out there making money any way they can.

Sounds reasonable until you start adding up the costs of those health choices end up having on society, on tax payers, on everyone.

Maybe the cause of that is because of our own constructs, but it’s a factor nonetheless, and a different conversation.
