Hee Haw star Lulu Roman passes at 78
Interesting career - she had a rough start but found religion in her 20s and saved her life:
Got her start in a Jack Ruby owned nightclub - Buck Owen’s saw something in her and put her on Hee Haw before she was kicked off for a drug arrest.
Found religion and rejoined the show in ‘73 and was there till the end. Remember her well - watching the show Saturday nights with my grandparents.
RIP - a truly funny lady.
