I ended up watching the movie and while I didn't like it as much as the original I did enjoy it. Definitely some funny moments and I enjoyed all the cameos in the movie. I'd probably give it a 6.5 out of 10 but I think that it's definitely worth just watching for nostalgia if nothing else.

movie should have been made 15 years ago. these too long awaited sequels directly on streaming end up fading.

Did you see Beetlejuice 2 ? That movie was even longer for the sequel lol. I wasn’t crazy about that one either.

I thought Happy Gilmore 2 was really good (8.3 for JDS.) I loved the cameos from the tour players, especially Scheffler, Rory, and Fred Couples who happens to be my favorite player of all time. I am probably in the minority with this, but I liked it better than the first one. Might have go back and watch the first one again.

me neither. i liked some of the story but it felt silly as well.

the problem is all these movies do is the same jokes and formulaic story. they don't even try to deviate.

i loved that ongoing joke of alcohol hidden everywhere

i genuinely was laughing at some parts. People that hate it are just haters in life and in general. It was never supposed to be an Oscar winning performance.
