have fun!!!
I will Lemon!

but

As the new captain of this thread. I'm going to have to ask you to refrain from opening or posting in here, until you log another workout. one workout per week will not do. We expect more from you.

so please keep this thread clear for Sammy to post his dad bod and for me to show awkward questionable movements until you get your butt in the gym. Thanks in Advance

Archie you’re a very entertaining & intellectual funny dude I must say. Thanks for the shot out. We been posting on these forums for nearly 20 years. Thank God for the outlet to interact with like minded individuals over the years.
Also some not so like minded individuals lol, we find our crew & gravitate toward the people we can relate to the most.

8 mile death about to commence to sweat out a mild hangover 😔 A punishment that fits the crime

Wish me luck

how did it go? 8 mile hike w/ gear or a run. what is a death march lol?

gearing up for a 5.4 or 7.4 backpacking hike near Red Rocks. We'll see which trailhead seems like busy and decide from there.

get out there and sweat with your body, before the afternoon betting sweats. Makes the head so much more clear for betting decisions. MOVEMENT IS MEDICINE! go get treatment you sickos

yep sounds like the intros to the 30s like I remember. it only gets worse as you age if you don't move.

regressions, accomodations, compromises to work around minor injuries is a process you kind of have to learn for yourself and your own body.

it sucks though, I heard that.

I see so many knee and hip injuries that lead to bigger longer term injuries up and down the kinetic chain and the SI joint due to compensating and limping. if I were you, is take some time online to kind of self diagnosis and find some gentle movements you can do for hip within your available range. rest, heat/ice and try to identify if it was impact related... (running on pavement in old or inadequate shoes after a lay off ) or more soft tissue strain/inflammation.

which movement elicits the most pain?

bending forward/lifting knee
straight leg kick back, like leading with heel to touch a wall behind you
abduction-straight leg out to side
adduction straight leg moving in, like you were doing a tiny soccer pass to someone on your other side

or is it most painful just bearing weight. shifting your weight to that leg makes the sharpest pain

so i don't work out...decided to start working out a little bit. Ran some on Thursday, today I'm limping, can barely walk. Right hip in pain.

this is why i don't work out
In my mid 20s I ran every day and I ended up hurting my knee pretty badly due to the repetitive stress. Since then I've mixed up my cardio and focused on exercises that minimize pressure on my knees. That has really helped. I'm no doctor, but after some rest that approach might be worth trying for you.

Regardless, GL with your hip.

just standing up, it feels like its tight and its stretching out. Lifting my leg causes pain. It's not unbearable pain, but it hurts for sure

lifting knee i would say is the most pain
