what a lovely group...hope you all have a nice time at crossfit today!!
We all have an SCI (spinal cord injury) or a physical disability. The folks behind are faculty of the med school along with physical therapy and occupational therapy students. They work us out. We signed a waiver and this photo has already been published in an article. It is a great group of people.

good stuff Pig! I volunteered with an adaptive sports community in Chicago through PT school.

I don't think I've ever been more inspired into workouts then seeing the humbling efforts of vet double amputees doing triathlons, leading visually impaired athletes in road half marathons, swimming next to 2-3 limbed swimmers with CP, doing first laps with athletes getting fitted with new adaptive equipment, lifting with paraplegics.

so many valuable life lessons. and their level of encouragement and support to one another goes beyond understanding.

thanks for sharing

you got this sammy! how do you plan to hit your goal?
we are into the cold times of the year in upstate NY. Summer time I get home from work and wanna go outside right away...now that i'm inside more, less excuses to not get a work out in.

Plus I'm not a gym guy, i'm not paying to go to the gym. All I have to do is walk downstairs that's the only motivation I need to have.

45 minutes isn't a big commitment either. just have to do it

Let's make one thing perfectly clear. Le is in a league of her own in this thread along with Sammy. I contemplated posting the photo when the thread went up and thought what the h*ll, this is a workout thread and I don't think the members would mind. I will not go too deep and bore everyone with specifics. I will say this group formed back in March of this year and we have been meeting twice a week ever since. We do take a four week break every three months. We do most things able body cross fitters do and the coaches push us. The best thing is working together. That being said thanks everyone for the likes and comments. Now I need OKC/LAC to go over 215!!!! :D
