Its not in the spirit of the last few pages of the thread, but... I actually went to the gym today. ;)

I keep making the mistake of burning myself out on the first exercise of chest day and then being too spent to have a great workout. At least I made it there, though. Tomorrow is back/biceps.

I'm posting this mainly as a reminder to myself to make time for a workout and get the max. out of it when I go.

I hope all the gym rats ITT make it there too. GL (y)

i actually hit the gym yesterday, but i was overly excited for being back and i'm too competitive. so i didn't go light and now i'm in some pain. was a dumb thing to do, but today will just be a light yoga day and band work

I had a great workout yesterday and I've got the good kind of back soreness now. Thanks for asking. I'm taking an off day before leg day tomorrow (Mondays are always slammed at my gym).

GL with the yoga and bands. I hope you feel better. (y) Are you still thinking of trying physical therapy?

I'm thinking of starting some band work myself, but there are only so many hours in the day for exercise.

thats good to hear!! i love that good soreness/pain after a nice workout lol. enjoy the off day, and have a great leg day!

i appreciate it. and with pt, it's a matter of finding time during the day to go. plus the last time i went to pt, it didn't help at all. i just had to legit sit out and rest, and ease into everything.

i like band work cause it does help me focus on my core more, i usually include it in my leg work outs

been trying to build up to hike a few 14ers this early fall and do a small community strongman type comp. I'm not going to be able to get under 200 for that division. Don't want to be near bottom of over 200 division... switching focus to maintaining strength, increasing overall health/endurance, thoracic mobility, pelvic/lower body stability and pre-hab for rotator cuff and muscles with cervical spine attachments.

Don't worry about cutting weight just go in at the weight your strongest at. It doesn't matter if you finish last if you want to get stronger you hang around people that are stronger than you.
