My guess would be that as a Mexican she has experienced "racism" in the US, so she wanted to take it out on other foreigners.

Being Caucasian, with a black man closest thing I ever had as a dad, having only relationships with Latinas my entire life, married to a Mexican, and having mixed kids, I could really touch on this subject
