personally, i really couldn't care less about bruce. i hate his southern drawl while being from jersey. i think his music is OK but needing a whole movie about him? not for me. not every musician needs a biopic.
Needed this movie like we need a hole in our heads.
Guy sings about and pleads for the common man. Hates Trump, hates the USA and is a well known drunk and yet is highest grossing US rocker ever because he charges the highest prices per seat.
I’ve said it before here - when I hear that fake 80’s keyboard start up for “Born In The U.S.A.”, I immediately run to switch the station. His “Santa Claus Is Coming To Town” is insufferable and ruins the holidays for me. Any half-drunk fat loser can ‘karaoke’ “Glory Days” as well, if not better than “The Boss”, “Born To Run” might very well be THE WORST American rock song ever written…..
He can’t sing, his ‘melodies’ are basic and child-like, his songs & New Jersey ‘fans’ are annoying, and who would want to go see him live and sit through 11 minutes of his ‘rough upbringing’ before sitting through “My Hometown”?!?!
As I said I thought he did a really good job in the Howard Stern interview. He really went into detail about his upbringing, how he got started in the music business and different stories revolving around that
