
VIETNAM BREAKS GROUND ON THE WORLD’S LARGEST STADIUM
Today (Dec 19) in Hanoi, Vietnam officially launched the Olympic Sports City project — a mega sports–urban complex with an estimated investment of $35 billion USD, covering 9,171 hectares and serving nearly 751,000 residents.

At the heart of the project is the iconic Trong Dong Stadium:

135,000 seats — the largest stadium in the world

FIFA-standard design

World’s largest retractable roof system

Stadium completion target: August 2028

The Olympic Sports City is envisioned to help Hanoi host ASIAD, the Olympic Games, and even the World Cup in the future.
