I also blame the Commission on Elections, which allowed her to run in the first place. Either they're lousy at checking her background, or they were bribed.

I could see this happening. Bribes are a common thing the US to allow rich people to skirt the law. The only difference is, in the US, it's disguised as a "campaign contribution".
