There is a law but many people do not wear them. It is illegal for a child to wear a helmet. You will never see a child in a helmet, they have to be 7+ years on up in order to wear a helmet. The helmets can do more damage to a younger child.

Children need to be on motorbikes and there is no product available to apply to the law to improve the safety of riding for children. This means that the government must make an exemption to helmet laws for children under six years of age.

I feel honored to be able to live and prosper in this country. What is happening here is truly special and I have never experienced anything like it in my life. The economy and the boom is something that I have never experienced. They are the most proud nation I have ever witnessed.

They defeated, in sequence, the Japanese imperialists, the French colonialists, the United States, and China, in the period from 1930 to 1979. Despite losing about two million people to the US alone, and having their country bombed flat and poisoned, they have recovered and developed to become a modern capitalist nation (of course they don’t call it that) in the intervening 45 years. Why should they feel inferior?

Everyone is getting ready for the Vietnamese New Year, "Tết". I am headed to Campuchia tomorrow for a week and the airport is going to be a nightmare. But probably only domestically as everyone is traveling to their hometown.

I think Campuchia celebrates its own form of Tet/Chinese New Year/Lunar New Year don't they?

Yes but very low key. Nothing like in Việt Nam and China. There are lót of Chinese and Vietnamese living there too.

No matter which country in SE Asia I've visited, Thailand, Singapore, Philippines, there was always a 7-11 available that sold America beer. I even love the SE Asian beers but my go-to beers were at 7-11.
