Security is okay. You have to avoid 2-3 districts in Athens during night and then it is quite safe.
I am usually a low-budget guy when travelling e.g. I stay in hostels.

There are many different style places and many different levels within these places. This is not the nicest one in Santa Barbara but it is a very nice one. Most of them have a waiting list but we were trying for years to get him in here but there was resistance. Like I said there are many different levels on what he needs and what is offered. I will just give you a general breakdown and there are many different size apartments too. This is a lifestyle country club type of place it has everything onsite. The restaurant has had the same chef for 17 years, it is fine dining which all meals are included but not for guests. They do not provide personal care giving or companion care, so if you want more than what they offer you use another company to bring in someone which we do, we do not want him to be alone and always have someone around. Thankfully, his personal care giver is a childhood friend of mine and I am getting a very good deal price wise.

This is a monthly breakddown

Apartment 1 Bedroom $9.750
Level 2 Care $2,500
Medication management - $750.00
Daily Group classes - $1,250
Personal Care giver - $4,000 ( This was at $12,500) a month before my friend took over.

$18,250,000 per month

There are much cheaper places here that would be half this but we want him in the best place there with the best care.

There is actually one place here in Santa Barbara that is like 50k a month + and you have to buy into the community which is well in the millions. An unreal place.
