Yeah, this is very sad. This is close to my hometown and is known for rebels. I don't understand why his wife didn't care about his security. I think she is involved in all of this. One of the safest places in the world is Singapore. They call it "Asia Lite" because the people speak English and it's so easy to get around. It is a rather boring place though outside the tourist areas and casinos.

I remember going out to dinner with some friends when I worked there for a few months. The restaurant was right next to the beach and a park was nearby. I saw several women walking by themselves at night in the park without a worry about their safety.

In my personal opinion, Viet Nam is safer than Singapore, the only other safer place I can think is China, but China and Viet Name are the two safest places in my opinion. I have seen some dark shit in Singapore.
