Vietnam is the safest place I have ever been in my life.You will not find anywhere safer in SEA. China is on the same level but it is not SEA, but for SEA. Vietnam is the safest. Most dangerous you have to distinguish the meaning of that. Myanmar if you go to the border but you can't get there, in the Shan state now, but I would say in SEA where I am at now in Phnom Penh, it is 3:13am, and the streets are wild not in PP.

One of the safest places in the world is Singapore. They call it "Asia Lite" because the people speak English and it's so easy to get around. It is a rather boring place though outside the tourist areas and casinos.
I remember going out to dinner with some friends when I worked there for a few months. The restaurant was right next to the beach and a park was nearby. I saw several women walking by themselves at night in the park without a worry about their safety.
