Danang this morning
Typhoon No. 4 is moving towards central Vietnam, with its eye expected to directly affect provinces from Quang Binh to Da Nang. Wind speeds near the storm's center reach level 8 (62-74 km/h) with gusts up to level 10. The storm is primarily moving west-northwest at a speed of about 15-20 km/h. Forecasts predict that within the next 24-48 hours, the storm will make landfall and gradually weaken.
From September 18-20, the central provinces will experience heavy rainfall, with some areas receiving up to 500 mm of rain, increasing the risk of flash floods and landslides in vulnerable regions. Localities such as Da Nang and Thua Thien Hue have issued warnings for flash floods and landslides.
