Do you also have fat girls in Vietnam, Fly?
Here is a very interesting question that nobody can explain, they try to explain but can't justify it, some things in this world really have no explanation. I can only speak for SEA countries which there are 11 of them but I will speak on certain extra countries as well , such as China, Japan and South Korea which are not SEA.

Of course there are fatty's here but very rare and I would like an explanation. Thailand , Laos, Timor- Leste, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei , Myanmar, Philippines and Campuchia have a lot of obesity, lets throw in China, Japan and South Korea, lots of obesity there. Now....

Campuchia and Myanmar not a lot but some but here in the Holy land, aka land where Christ once roamed, it is very rare and their diet is not the best. Lots of fast food, lots of rice, , tons of alcohol , but Viets are in very good shape, even when the girls have babies, their bodies go back to normal, never seen anything like it, of course , there are exceptions but it really puzzles me, all the neighboring SEA countries with the exception of Campuchia and Myanmar obesity is all over the place and nobody can come up with an explanation.

Looks like it's imprinted in their genes not to gain weight lol

I know some people in their younger yrs who ate a lot but never gained weight but when they reached 40 and above, it's like an act of revenge where they easily gain weight that they need to follow a strict diet. Metabolism slows down, that's the only explanation I know.

Assuming it is in their genes, the ones who are bigger may have some kind of diabetes or something. That might explain why there are some but not many.

The part about getting bigger after they get older holds true for hispanics in our area. Seems as though most add a lot of pounds after they reach a certain age 35-40. Of course, hispanics have rampant diabetes in our area due to poor diet.

True. I guess, when we grow old we just don't care about a healthy diet.. which is very ironic.
