FYI @flyingillini I just started watching Ken Burns incredible 10-part documentary on the Vietnam War again for probably the third or fourth time.

I know you’ve watched it a couple of times and enjoyed it.

I encourage anyone who hasn’t watched this series and is a follower of this thread who has an interest in Indochina and the history of the area, as well as America’s involvement there, find time to watch this series.

I’m able to watch it with a $5 monthly donation to PBS. Watching it on the PBS app on Roku. Also get Ken Burns’ entire amazing catalog, as well as a PBS series called The American Experience I really enjoy.

He was at least 1/4 Afro American he was in Africa from 1-2 years old and then at 7 to 8 years old. So he had his roots there.
