I am in one of the worst periods of my life for physical shape. I am always on the go. Going back to Campuchia the 30th and Myanmar and Laos until the 7th, then back to China. God Bless you!

@BMR Genie I have a question for you, I am not sure if you will be able to chime in on this or not. I have been to the Philippines 5 times. I have traveled to every other country in SEA more extensively. There is something that is drastically different about there than every other country. I have not done any research myself on this, just asked a few people and mentioned it in conversations over the years. I am going by what they have told me and no idea if it is true. However, the one thing that really is mind boggling to me is the internet. It is the worst I have every experienced , it reminds me of the dial up days when the internet first came out. It is extremely poor everywhere I went there, any wifi I used, even landlines I used in a company there. It is such a big change from everywhere else in this part of the world, it is really puzzling to me. I mentioned it in the elevator the other day and a local guy laughed and he said " we are all used to it " I asked why is it so bad here, he said the government didn't and has not invested in cell towers like the other countries in SEA. Like I said, no idea if this is true or not. For example, when I go back to America, the internet is slow to me compared to Viet Nam, it is extremely fast here. I am wondering if you know anything about this, it is beyond comprehension how bad the internet is there.

Flyingillini, what are the speed differences between Viet and US? I'm curious because it seems like the US has invested heavily in 5G and internet speeds (500 Mbps). Could it be the amount of traffic is much higher in the US and slowing things down?

I am not an expert on any of this stuff, I go back once a year and it is a big difference from here. I just know it is much faster here, plus a lot cheaper.

The guy's answer is correct, Fly. The government is not investing to improve the internet situation in PH, and the worst thing is we are paying a lot for it and getting a very bad service.

Also, it's not easy for a new telecommunication company to enter the PH, existing businessmen that own those telecommunication companions won't allow to have strong competition and be left behind in the future, so the burden still relies on the people.
