AS I mentioned 2 weeks ago - the Royals are the top team in MLB with a 33-19 division record! Better than ANY team who made the playoffs and bette than every team in MLB overall.
Schmidt is 0-2 in his last 3 starts with NY losing all 3 games. His era is 5.02.
Schmidt beat KC in two starts last year. BUT these aren't the same Royals from those games.
Lugo will be at his best today. In his last start vs Yankees he shut them out in 7 innings. His season recored is 16-8 w/era of 2.95. Better than any Yankee starter this year.
Looking at the Bullpens for the payoffs, KC is tied with Detroit for most Strikeouts at 19!
More important - the Royals are leading every team in the playoffs with a 2.19 bullpen era!
Thats why they are a 10 unit play....
Dodgers/SD over 8 runs 4 units
As good as Cease has been, he is the weakest of the top starters for SD.
LA is starting a guy name "Knack" who has an era of 3.00. He i a strikeout pitcher but does give up home runs. In fact 10 hr's in only 54 innings. BUT - this is a game where there is no tomorrow for LA so he will be on a very short lease if he isn't sharp.

They are batting a pathetic .183 in the playoffs. Talk about choking?
If the Indians win today the Tigers will be putting Skubal on the mound in Cleveland on Saturday!
Key Note> In ALL three games the loser has NOT scored! That never happened before!

Game has been moved to 1PM because of sever weather arriving late after noon.
Today I'm going with the Indians ev 10 units
I am only betting them because I can't see Detroit s relievers throwing scoreless innings. But I CAN see Tribe pitchers doing it.
Last game with Skubal was sensational with him going 7innings and zero runs.

One game was 6 runs ( 3 off Wacha), a right hander.
Cobb and Boyd have saved the season for the Indians. Both of these leftys will be starting vs Yankees.
