And it's not just poker logic it's common sense in any sporting event and competition and tournament - when an award or championship or award is being offered it always has to be given out, from beauty pageants to chess tournaments to pie eating contests to etc, because it's not fair to the second place guy/team when the first place guy/team gets disqualified for whatever reason not to acknowledge that 2nd place has effectively overtaken first.
