We're looking for a new place outside US.
Always good to be home. It was a well travelled 2 weeks in Europe , so i was looking forward to a bit of rest to get caught up. Not really happening. Its been a scorcher here since we got back and every friend and family member is dropping by for a swim. lol
Buying a place in the Bavarian region was a bit disappointing. Our wish list is short with a 2 bdrm , i washroom and some property as the minimum we were looking for. To have all 3 would start in the $300k Euro range ( about $500k Cdn ). Thats more then i wanted to spend on a 2nd property. In parts of the Tuscany region , we can find all that , plus a pool for a lot less. The same applies to the French region outside of Strassbourg , where we can get the same for under $150k Euro.
I have no idea about the requirements in Italy or France , regarding permits , land transfer fees , property taxes etc., just Germany. So , the search continues for now
